Shed members come from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, interests and attend for many different reasons – to use their skills or learn new ones, share knowledge and expertise, relax and escape, for fun and banter and make new friendships. We offer:
A practical workshop for woodwork, crafting, gardening, or any handy activities or hobbies of your choice
A social space for relaxing with a cuppie, enjoying a blether and making new friends
A safe and friendly place where everyone is welcome, supported and appreciated
We are open every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11am to 3pm

What Our Members Say
I was also looking for different experiences in my retirement, and you certainly get that here in this friendly and welcoming Shed. I wanted to learn new skills, especially woodwork. As the first woman member, I started a trend, and now there’s three of us.

Grew bored with retirement, so another member introduced me, and I’ve never looked back. Friendly, busy place here, so my boredom issues were instantly solved.

My wife said, ‘go out and do something’, so I did. Introduced to the Shed by a member and have enjoyed it here ever since. I’ve developed a few skills, enjoy meeting new people and making friends here. It’s a great organisation.

I was a member of the Men’s Shed in Denny, and with a house move to Carnoustie, I joined this one. I thoroughly enjoy my days here, in good company and learning new skills from other members.

I’ve always wanted to learn woodwork skills…and after nine years I’m finally getting the hang of it! Being at the Shed fills my retirement days in good ways with great company and friendly folk from a wide variety of interesting backgrounds. Never looked back…

Initially I was a member of the Arbroath Men’s Shed, then came over to Carnoustie. It’s a great place for company and making new pals, as retirement can be isolating. I enjoy helping others here and sharing my skills with other members.
