About Us
The Shed is an inclusive organisation, managed by a committee of dedicated local volunteers, and supported by an ever-growing number of male and female members. It is an autonomous, self-governing and democratic place, shaped by and for its members.
Opening Hours:
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11am to 3pm.
We make garden chairs, benches, planters, and many more small and large items
We work on projects with other community organisations
We help maintain community spaces around Carnoustie and Monifieth
We are available for commission too. If you have a special request please contact us and tell us what you require
We Pride Ourselves On Our Green Credentials
- We recycle materials as much as is possible, most of our wood and materials are donated to us
- We enjoy bringing new life to what would otherwise by destined for landfill
- We now have solar panels on our roof providing all our energy needs in a carbon neutral way (See our solar panels here)
Our Workshop
Below are some images of our workshop. Many of our tools and much of our equipment has been kindly donated to us over the years by individuals and local businesses. We put it to good use designing and building products for sale and commissioned projects.
Our Garden
At the rear of the premises is where our wood storage shed lives, but also our humble garden too. We like to grow produce for our personal use and for friendly competition!
