Our latest open day on 30 August 2025 was a very successful day with plenty of interest shown by residents from areas near and far. Hopefully, we may get some new members with new skill sets to boost our range of interests.
Our next open day is provisionally scheduled for late November / early December…watch this space!
On an open day members of the general public are welcome to come along to the Men’s Shed premises at the Panmure Centre, 141 Kinloch Street, Carnoustie and see what we do. There will be an opportunity to visit our workshops in a safe environment and meet any of our members who happen to be in attendance. Visitors may also like to have a look at our garden / storage area at the back of the premises. We now boast a new self- constructed “Painters Shed” at the rear of our ground which, as the name suggests, offers us a space to paint or varnish products in a relatively dust-free atmosphere.
You may get the opportunity to observe some of our machinery in action and will get to see many of the products which our members produce on a weekly basis.
There will also be an opportunity to buy or pre-order some of our products. Items that are produced on our CNC cutting machine such as house signage, coasters, place mats etc, can be made to meet your specific requirements. The main limiting factor will be size. Currently, wooden or plastic signage can be up to 500mm x 500mm. Please ask us if you are in any doubt.
We also currently have a healthy stock of other, mostly wooden items which include planters, toys, clocks and several ornamental items which must be seen to be appreciated.
Some of our products are shown in the photographs below.
